    "Cross fingers"

The action of crossing the fingers is to attract good luck. This superstition arrived at our continent by ships which carried some prisoners turned into sailors. These men crossed their fingers as a silent sign of danger.

    "Knock on wood"

This expression pushes us to knock on wood so that the bad luck does not approach to us. You must never touch an object which has wooden legs. This fact refers to the sign of the holy cross of our lord which was made of wood and supported on the ground.

"Do not walk under a ladder"

You must always avoid walking under a ladder. This ladder can be supported against a wall forming a triangle, this is what you have to avoid and never walkinside a triangular form. The tradition comes from Egypt and was brought to Spain by Phoenicians. Even you walked under a ladder inadvertently, in order tocounteract the run of bad luck that is approaching now to you, you must spit three times over the stairs and even better, if it is possible, in the presence of a dog.

"And avoid the thirteen and the black cat"

The number thirteen is considered bad luck, just because Jesus, in The Last Supper, was surrounded by 12 apostles, that is why the guest number 13 is considered as a carrier of bad vibe. The black cat is a bad luck carrier. In the ancient Egypt, the cats were sacred, but the black cat was a representative of evil.

"Do not get out of bed on the wrong side"

The fact of getting out of bed on the wrong side brings a bad day waiting ahead. This belief is based on the idea that everything that is on the left side is a sign of bad augury. That is why the left side is named "sinister".

    "Rabbit's foot"

    Keep in your pocket
    wrapped in your astral letter
    a rabbit's foot
The rabbit's foot is considered good luck, since these little animals represent the sweetness and harmony of the nature.

    "If a mirror is broken"

The break of a mirror is believed as a carrier of death, since the image is broken into pieces. Furthermore, the mythology says that if a mirror is broken, You will have, at least, 7 years of bad luck. Due to the seven as a bad number ( 7 deadly sins and the 7 plagues of Egypt which Moses brought. ) it is a bad sign. So, if a mirror is broken, you must wrap its pieces in a silvery paper with seven knots in each side and throw it away the furthest you can.

    "Spilled salt"

The salt is a very desired product in ancient times. The preservation of the food depends on the salt, fish and meat, mainly. It was very important to have salt, that is why we think about our abundance or property is in danger when salt is spilled.

"Watchover the zodiac sign and biorhythm, do not try to dress yellow"

The yellow is considered bad luck since the sulfur that is supposed to be in hell, is yellow.

    "In spite of everything
    the life depends on the
    "there is no ticket"
    remember that stepping
    on shitbrings good luck."

People in ancient times tried not to step on shit, but if they did it , it was believed that this situation could bring the a good fortune.
